We had a group of friends in middle and high school that we were all a part of. Jeremy was the first person of the band to be in this group and at the same time that Jimi got introduced into the group, Jeremy was slowly being phased out. The same thing happened when Jimi introduced Matt to the group. Jimi slowly got phased out. So, while Jimi was slowly being phased out, he wrote these lyrics about that group. We wrote this song maybe 2 days prior to playing it in the school talent show, debuting it to that friend group, and having it soon become their favorite song of ours. Little did they know it was about them.
